3D digital imaging
3D digital imaging is a state-of-the-art technology that is revolutionising the dental industry. This cutting-edge technology allows us to quickly and accurately create a 3D model of your teeth and jaw. These models allow us to plan and execute treatment with greater precision than ever before.
3D digital imaging also makes it possible to view your teeth from any angle, which means we can catch problems that might have been missed with traditional x-rays. Best of all, 3D digital imaging is completely safe and does not involve any radiation.
If you are looking for the best possible care for your smile, 3D digital imaging is the way to go. Book a visit with us today to find out more about how we can help you achieve your perfect smile.
Why use 3D imaging instead of x-rays?
3D digital imaging is becoming increasingly popular in the dental field. Why? 3D images give your dentist a more complete view of your teeth, supporting tissues, and nerves than traditional x-rays. This helps us to more accurately diagnose problems and plan treatment.
What this means for you is that we can detect problems much earlier than with other methods, and we can track progress better too. 3D digital imaging gives us a complete view of your mouth so we can see problems that might be hidden with traditional methods. This technology also allows us to create a treatment plan that is tailored specifically for you. 3D digital imaging is changing the way we practise dentistry and we are proud to be able to offer this state-of-the-art service to you.
Our 3D imaging technology
Cone beam computed tomography, or CBCT, is the 3D digital imaging technology we use in our clinic. CBCT scanners rotate around your head to produce detailed images of your mouth, jaw, neck, ears, nose and throat. These images can then be used in the treatment planning and diagnosis of endodontics, orthodontics and dental implants.
CBCT scans are the most advanced imaging technology available, with benefits that include:
- Reduced exposure to scatter radiation
- Painless, non-invasive and highly accurate
- Ability to capture both bone and soft tissues
- A single scan offers a wide variety of detailed views and angles
- More information than conventional dental x-rays, for more precise treatment planning
