Dr. Brett Hawley is an Ottawa native. He grew up in Kinburn, a small town west of Ottawa, where you can find Dr. Hawley helping his parents on the farm during strawberry and raspberry season.
Brett attended the University of Ottawa, where he received both his Bachelor of Science and Master’s degree in biochemistry. He then went on to the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University in London, Ontario to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. His Master’s thesis was based on studying protein mapping in Alzheimer’s disease.
Brett enjoyed being involved with the London community; he was the director of Oral Health Total Health, a non-profit organization with a mission to advocate, educate and improve the oral health care for persons with special needs. He was also an executive member of the Student Professionalism and Ethics Association of Schulich.
When Brett is not examining the wonders of his patient’s mouths, you can find him in the hockey arena, cheering on the Blue Jays, or in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes. Dr. Hawley loves dentistry and could not imagine doing anything else. He has had a passion and desire to work in the healthcare industry since a young age. He is ecstatic to have joined the stellar team at Holland Cross Dental and is looking towards a bright future with them.
